DC-based Lil Dream just dropped off his new 5-track EP, “Swipe Rixh.” With only two features, Dream takes care of a majority of the production on this one. Each track contains a certain vibe showcasing a sense of versatility and consistency as you make your way down the jam packed EP. In the time of late last year into this year, I had caught Lil Dream actually out on bail. Lil Dream’s “Swipe Rixh EP” remind me of a sophisticated trapper at times, and an arrogant Gucci Mane influenced pitch in some others. The DC-artist tailors the exact sound desired by producing each record himself. In the story of the project, you’ll have the perspectives of high end living, satisfying bass lines, and confident lyrics; a sound you wouldn’t expect from an ex-convict! …unless the ex-convict got away with the lick.
