The ALC is one of the largest public policy conferences in the country focused on issues and disparities impacting African Americans worldwide. Nearly 9,000 conference attendees will participate in more than 70 issue forums and sessions, and 20,000 people will come to Washington, D.C. for the conference and related events.

This year's theme, "With Liberty and Justice for All?" pays homage to America's Pledge of Allegiance, a national symbol of indivisibility and promise of equal rights, privileges, and freedoms for all Americans.
