PG Child Killed In Accidental Shooting
(Prince George’s County, MD) – Prince George’s County police say a six-year-old boy was killed Monday in a shooting that appears to have been an accident. Police say the boy was handling a gun that he found in a backpack, when it went off inside a home on Arbutus Lane. County homicide detectives are considering filing charges against the owner of the backpack, a 20-year-old man who lived in the home. There is no word at this time on whether the gun was legally owned and registered.
