There’s officially an opening for a cast member for TV One’s hit reality show, R&B Divas. According to a member from the show executive production team, viewers just couldn’t get with this diva.
Nicci Gilbert, the headstrong singer/fashion designer on “R&B Divas” has officially been fired (or nicely asked to leave) from the cast, TheYBF.com has exclusively learned.
Though “R&B Divas” has become a success for TV ONE, TheYBF.com has learned that former Brownstone member and show co-creator, Nicci Gilbert, was given the axe. A source from the show’s executive production team told us that market research they conducted showed that viewers just didn’t connect to Nicci. In fact, we were told that 95% of those polled said that Nicci was their LEAST favorite diva.
The production team doesn’t want to announce the firing publicly until a cast for season two is in place…but Nicci has already been shown the door.
This definitely isn’t the first time we have heard about Nicci getting the boot.
The word on the curb is that there will be an L.A. Spin-off of R&B Divas as well. Stay posted.
