Sunday evening, there was a shooting on a DC bus near Minnesota Ave. and 19th St. DC law enforcement say that the subject in the case has committed suicide in Nassau County, New York.
The victim of the shooting, was 20 year old Selina Brown. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene once police arrived, her daughter was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition after being grazed in the face.
The suspect was 27 year old Javon Steven Foster. Foster was the father of the child in the incident, and also Brown’s known boyfriend. He also has a criminal history with domestic violence. Foster has served time in jail for a domestic violence incident with his previous girlfriend.
Mother of Selina Brown, says that her daughter was arguing with her boyfriend all weekend, and the argument ended with a break-up at the bus stop. The victim and suspect had been dating for some years and also had a child together.
Because there was a camera on the bus, the attack of Brown was caught on surveillance It was easy for Police to know who committed the crime, but too late when they got to the person.
