Nicki Minaj feels as though the Grammys is throwing shade her way. She was not nominated for a Grammy this year after being nominated two years in a row.
Nicki had one of the biggest hits of 2012 with “Starships” and also broke a Billboard record with the song being in the top 10 for 21 weeks in a row. She isn’t making a big deal out of it though.
Nicki tells the Associated Press,
“I think that the Grammys had a different reason [for not nominating me] that I do not want to discuss. And that’s just between me and them. But I respect their organization and I’ll get a Grammy eventually. I’m not worried about it.”
“I’ve gotten tons of awards and I believe when it’s my time to get a Grammy, I’ll get a Grammy.”
We’ll have to see if she shows up to the awards.
