From 400 pounds to 250 pounds, Los Angeles rapper Papa Joe Aviance is proud of his new look. He is most known for the song in 1999, ‘A DJ Saved My Life’ and now is trying to become known for introducing the ’99 Cent Store Diet’ .
He recalls being frustrated with his weight daily and reaching a point to where he simply raided his fridge and threw out everything and decided that he was going to start anew. . ”I said, ‘You know what? I’ve got to end this now,” he told ABC News. “I almost had a nervous breakdown. I went to the fridge and threw everything in the trash can. Cookies, candy, cakes, all the sugary items, everything.”
Looking to only spend $50 a week on his diet, he decided that the ’99 Cent Store’ had exactly what he was looking for & for the amount he was looking to spend.
“I start my day with eggs, carrots and this 49-cent yogurt,” Aviance explained. “I got my 2 percent milk, and I’m still less than $20….I call the 99 cent-only stores shopping at the HCWB – Health choices within a budget.”
