Prince George’s County will be facing a water shortage for several days.

The Washington Suburban Sanitation Committee (WSSC) will be working to fix wire breaks in a PG county water pipeline.  The 54 inch concrete pipeline  runs between Suitland Parkway and Forestville Road.  Due to recent failure in the pipeline, and wire breaks, WSSC will be working to replace the concrete pipe.

Because of the work that will be going on, this means that Southern PG County residents, will be without water for as long as five days.  Areas in PG that will be affected by the work are Forest Heights, Hillcrest Heights, Morningside, Camp Springs, Temple Hills and Oxon Hill.  There will also be a shortage throughout Joint Base Andrews and National Harbor.

This water shortage is not reduced to just homes, as nursing homes, and hospitals will receive county help.
