The 4th of July is coming up and we want to ensure everyone has a place to go to enjoy firework displays close to them. Here are five places throughout DC, Maryland and Virginia that all guarantee fireworks and fun.
1. National Mall– probably the most popular place for people to see the beautiful display, it’s first come first serve so if you want a good spot make sure to come early. But the view is one you cannot beat.
2. U.S. Capitol– another popular D.C. spot for onlookers. Grounds open at 2:30 pm and early arrival is highly suggested. Those who do go are able to see ‘A Capitol Fourth, The Independence Day Concert‘ from their seats that normally takes place around 8 pm.
3. The United States Marine Corps– located in Arlington, VA only a few blocks from Rosslyn Metro Station (orange and blue line) this is a great spot for people looking to avoid the large crowd and security delays.
4. Air Force Memorial– also located in Arlington, VA and is a two for one deal. Enjoy the sights of fireworks and sounds of the United States Air Force Band. The concert starts at 8 pm.
5- Independence Day Celebration– located at the Montgomery College- Rockville Campus this event is from 7-10 pm. Hosted by the Mayor and Council of Rockville it is a night of music, entertainment and fireworks. The live entertainment begins at 7 and fireworks at 9:15.
