Imagine my surprise after returning home from a week in paradise, that I immediately fell into a depression that made it almost impossible for me to get out of bed. At first I thought it was jet lag, which certainly did contribute to my feeling out of sorts. But it was also an awareness of what I was coming back to; reminiscing about the past and relationships gone amiss got me feeling extra low. I then went into detective mode investigating the not so pretty parts of me (thank you Mercury Retrograde), and everything that surfaced was connected to a rather stark reality I experienced while traveling that stemmed around my desperate attempts at living fearlessly from the heart.

Now I am overcome by an immediate urge to recommit to my path and purpose, which, interestingly enough, has expanded. I reckon that if I can live my soul’s desires, life would be more gratifying despite hardship. It’s as if I’ve been reacquainted with my personal journey after a long hiatus even though I never realized we had become estranged, and little did I know the trees and forests I’d have to cut through in order to get back on track! Thankfully it’s all starting to look familiar, only this time with more clarity and new information revealed. This has led to profound breakthrough once again – one hell of a breakthrough at that!

Many messages came to me during this process. One message was that of acceptance and the other was that of compassion. After some back and forth, I reasoned that the only thing left to do involved trimming all the excess. Of course, there are those things that may take some time to release (I’m only human!). But I can’t help but think that in doing so I will have successfully bridged the gap between my past and my future, which would allow me to live more fully in the present.

Herein lies the main theme of this cosmic unfolding in the week ahead: let go of that which keeps you from your destiny. If you can drop the ego, some excuses here and there, and a few self-sabotaging traits, you may be pleased to find that what’s on the other side has been waiting for you all along. This is something I look forward to in the coming weeks; this is something you should look forward to as well.

Check your horoscope to see what’s in store this week ahead, and don’t forget to read for your Ascendant sign, too.
