It’s been six years since our beloved “Girlfriends went off the air, leaving very little to take its place, as far as positive black shows depicting the sisterhood between black women are concerned.  We were left with a subpar ending of the series with only half of season 8.  An apparent victim of the writer’s strike that went on around the ending of the series, we were left to question: “Where the hell is Toni?” “Did crazy Joan ever actually get married?” “Did Maya finally get her writing career back on track?” Well, we may finally get our answers!

In a recent interview with Golden Brooks, character of Maya, Sister 2 Sister magazine reveals that there have been discussions with the show’s creator, Mara Brok Akil, and “It Could Happen”.  Mara is also responsible for other popular series such as “Being Mary Jane” and “The Game“.  If this is actually true, I am totally here for it!  Let’s see if this happens…
