dc-winter

According to the Washington Post: “It is a frigidly cold week across the central and eastern U.S., and the first big cold snap of the season. Here in the D.C. area we’re feeling the coldest temperatures so far this winter. After a warmer than average December, it might be particularly hard to adjust.

But this week’s temperatures are actually similar to what we saw one year ago during the two polar vortex attacks, and January typically features the coldest temperatures of the season for our area. No doubt that having a few inches of snow on the ground enabled the temperature to drop a little bit more than it would have otherwise.”
