Season 2 of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood just wrapped and if you know anything about the Love & Hip Hop franchises, Mona Scott-Young isn’t ending the series anytime soon. While the next season won’t air for at least another year, we already have some casting news on two stars that have quit the show.

In an interview with Essence Live Apryl Jones, said that she and Omarion won’t be returning for season 3.

From the Ray-J, Princess and Teiarra Mari love triangle to Moniece and Rich Dollaz; we frequently see reality TV destroy relationships. We’re happy to see Omarion and Apryl are getting out early.

“We’ve never been worried about the ‘show curse’ because when we walked into Love & Hip Hop we were prepared for what they were going to put us in and they had a lot of respect for Omari and I. We knew we would be okay walking in and walking out.”

Other than K. Michelle, the couple may be the series only other success story. Appearing on Love & Hip Hop, revived Omarion’s career. The former lead singer of B2K had his first #1 song in years with “Post To Be” featuring Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko.

We also learned that Apryl is an aspiring artist. While another season would have been beneficial for her career, filming with two infants and trying to maintain a dramatic storyline where none exist could be draining.

Apryl said she’s currently in the studio trying to “find my sound”. Once she gives birth in March, Apryl said she’ll most likely release new music summer 2016.

The aspiring artist also spilled some tea on why she wasn’t pulling hair and throwing drinks like many of her cast mates, “They had a lot of respect for me. They never wanted to put me in anything the first season ’cause I was obviously pregnant so I stayed out of the drama” she said.

“In the second season they put me with a group of people but I got along with everyone. I don’t like to gossip or be in other people’s problems. There wasn’t much that I was going to give even if I were to be put in those [dramatic] situations and [the producers] knew that.

Many fans wanted to know why the couple missed the Hollywood reunion show. Apryl said she and her son Mega were traveling on tour with Omarion and it would have been “too much” to make it to New York for the taping.

The reunion seems to be a mandatory part of the series so we wonder if Apryl and Omarion were fired or if they simply quit? Only time will tell if their careers can continue to rise without the added exposure of the show.
