Lil Mama Arrested During Traffic Stop

Poppin’ lip gloss couldn’t get Lil Mama out of this jam.

Lil Mama was arrested in NYC in the wee hours of the morning for going 10 mph over the speed limit. Sounds petty, right?

Considering the fact she was driving with a suspended license (and that’s against the law), NYPD officers decided that Lil Mama and her “sausage” had to go to the slammer.

TMZ reports:

Lil Mama is sitting in an NYC jail after getting busted doing a little more than 10 miles over the speed limit … unfortunately for her, cops say she was doing it without a driver’s license.

The 27-year-old rapper — best know for her 2008 hit “Lip Gloss,” and for playing Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, was cruising around Harlem around 4 AM Thursday — when cops lit her up for doing 38 in a 25, according to our NYPD sources.

No word on if Lil Mama was released, but given the fact she only got booked for a suspended license, she’s probably back at home.
