Amber Rose is working hard and it’s paying off.
The model and entrepreneur will star in her own weekly show on VH1, produced by Dr. Phil.
TV Guide writes:
Amber Rose, the model-entrepreneur-author-controversy magnet multi-hyphenate, is getting her own talk show on VH1 this summer, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The weekly show, which has yet to receive a title or premiere date, will feature Rose candidly interviewing celebrity guests about topics near and dear to her heart, such as pop culture, motherhood, race and presumably butt stuff. Dr. Phil McGraw will produce through his production company Stage 29, which is also developing a series called Bull based on his early career that will star NCIS’ Michael Weatherly.
Some of our favorite throwback shows are making their way back to TV, this according to the latest reports.
Here’s the sitch: from midnight to 2 a.m. ET every Monday-Thursday in May, Freeform will air a block of four beloved Disney Channel series from the 2000s. Lizzie McGuire will kick off the two-hour block, followed by That’s So Raven, then Hannah Montana, and finally Kim Possible. Coincidentally, all four of those did pretty well on EW’s ranking of the best Disney Channel original series.
On Fridays, Freeform will be airing a different Disney Channel Original Movie at midnight. This slate begins with Twitches on May 6, Get a Clue on May 13, Stuck in the Suburbs on May 20, and finally Smart House on May 27.
We’ve got a new must-see movie trailer on our hands.
Mila Kunis stars in Bad Moms and plays a mother who’s sick of trying to be perfect. Watch above as she takes a break from it all to party it up. Bad Moms will be in theaters on July 29.
Anthony Mackie will star as attorney Johnnie Cochran in an untitled film based on the 1981 Signal Hill police brutality case, sources confirmed to Variety. Robbie Brenner, The Firm’s president of film, will produce along with Mackie and Jason Spire. Jeff Kwatinetz will be exec producer, along with McMillan. David McMillan penned the script.
Based on real life events, the story follows Cochran as he takes on a police brutality case in 1981 in which a young college student died under suspicious circumstances in police custody. Cochran persuaded the family to do an autopsy after suspecting foul play, leading to one of the more highly publicized cases involving police brutality.
