Subway

As per usual, the New York City transit system continues to give commuters more reasons to be unhappy.

Yesterday, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority revealed a financial plan for the upcoming year, which includes raising the fare to $3, compared to the current rate of $2.75. According to ABC, “The budget and financial plan propose more than $1 billion over four years for initiatives to improve customer experience, increase service and service support, increase support for the MTA Capital Program, enhance safety and security, and invest in necessary maintenance and operations.

The plan will also include implementing Wi-Fi to all 278 underground stations by December 2016, as well as renovation to 31 stations throughout the city. Question is: does this fare increase include making trains run on time?

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see…
