Beauvais, who first captured our hearts as Fancy on “The Jamie Foxx Show”, spoke candidly about how she’s embraced the role even years later. “I don’t mind being called Fancy because it means people connected with the character,” she said, acknowledging the love fans still have for the iconic sitcom. But she was quick to point out that her talents extend far beyond that one role. Despite occasionally being overlooked in Hollywood, Beauvais remains undeterred.
The conversation took a poignant turn when she discussed her longtime friend and former co-star Jamie Foxx, who recently faced a serious health scare. Beauvais didn’t shy away from expressing her concern, calling it a “tough time” but also highlighting Foxx’s resilience. “He’s a fighter, and I’ve always admired his strength, on and off the screen,” she said.
Beyond acting, Beauvais has taken on a new role as an ambassador for Cybersmile, an organization dedicated to combating online bullying. “It’s important to stand up and say something,” she emphasized. “We can’t let the bullies win.” Her advocacy comes from a place of experience, as she’s witnessed firsthand the toll that online negativity can take..
As for what’s next, Beauvais is starring in a new Lifetime movie, “Tempted by Love”. She gave *The Morning Hustle* listeners a sneak peek into the project, where she plays Ava, a world-renowned chef who returns to South Carolina and finds herself falling for a younger man, played by Vaughn Hebron. “It’s a story about love, growth, and second chances,” she said, clearly excited about the role.
