Young Thug Promises Clearer Vocals After Fan’s Tattoo Fail
Young Thug is taking note of a fan’s dedication—and his lyrical delivery—after a hilarious mix-up went viral online. The rapper recently caught wind of a superfan who tried to immortalize Thug’s lyrics with a tattoo, but things didn’t quite go as planned.
Back in 2016, Young Thug released Digits, a fan-favorite track that landed him on the Billboard Hot 100 and helped solidify his reputation for unique flows and innovative style. One particularly inspired fan decided to commemorate the song with a massive back tattoo. The problem? He got the lyrics completely wrong.
The tattoo spans nearly the fan’s entire back, depicting a herd of horses stampeding in motion with the quote: “Horses don’t stop, they keep going.” However, the actual lyric from the song is: “Hustlers don’t stop, they keep going.”
On April 7, Young Thug reposted a photo of the viral tattoo on X (formerly Twitter) and addressed the situation with his usual humor and charisma. He wrote:
“And that’s y I’m talking with more clarity UY SCUTI… dam bro…”
This suggests that his next album—possibly titled UY SCUTI—will feature more enunciated vocals so fans can follow along more accurately.
As for the tattoo itself, a Madrid-based tattoo artist who goes by Infrababy took credit for the work in an Instagram story. They reassured Young Thug that the misquote was actually intentional:
“It was 100% intentional, I promise,” the artist wrote, along with a crying emoji and a white heart.
While the tattoo may have missed the mark lyrically, it definitely caught Thug’s attention—and the internet’s too. If nothing else, it’s a reminder of just how influential Young Thug’s lyrics are, even when fans hear them a little differently.
