President Donald Trump is at a crossroads.
During his run to the White House, Trump claimed that if elected, he would release the files of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died under mysterious circumstances while in police custody.
Police reports of his death have always claimed that the millionaire committed suicide, but MAGA faithfuls have always believed that he was murdered. Recently, the Justice Department released a two-page document stating that there was no evidence of an Epstein client list and that no files from the investigation would be made public.
It was a complete 180 from what the president promised his minions, and the MAGA folks aren’t taking it well. The president is really only left with two choices: He can release the files, which is believed to name several powerful people involved in child sexual abuse, or he can continue to alienate himself from those who helped put him in office. Leave it to Trump to come up with a third option, one that he uses more often than not when backed up against the wall: Blame a Democrat.

According to Variety, the press asked the president in front of the White House whether U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi told him that his name was mentioned in the Epstein documents. Trump responded: “No, no.” adding that Bondi provided “us just a very quick briefing” in terms of “the credibility of the different things that they’ve seen.”
Trump continued, “And I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by the Biden [administration]. And we went through years of that with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, with all of the different things that we had to go through.”
Trump continued to defend Bondi’s decision not to release any of the Epstein files.
“The attorney general has handled that very well,” the president said. “She has really done a very good job. And I think that when you look at it, you’ll understand that. I would like to see [transparency] also. But I think the attorney general — the credibility is very important.
