Even though the Sun is still moving through the sign of Aquarius, and there’s a New Moon also in the sign early Sunday morning (don’t forget to make 10 New Moon wishes!), the focus shifts to Pisces about one week before the Sun actually enters this realm and augments the energy. This is actually quite fitting as we celebrate the Chinese Year of the Snake, which symbolizes a higher power and metaphysical dimensions reached through intuition, introspection and all things otherworldly. Currently, the planets Mercury, Mars, Neptune and the asteroid Chiron are moving through the sign of Pisces in a relatively tight conjunction, i.e., planets that are neck and neck above, usually in the same Zodiac sign. This can be a great influence especially for you artists out there looking for inspiration. But it can also be a tough energy to navigate when it comes to appearances and distinguishing between what is real and imagined. The saying “beware of wolves in sheep clothing” comes to mind, mainly because Piscean energy can be very deceptive. Still, the ultimate theme this week (and throughout the month of February) is that of enlightenment and heightened awareness. Indulging in “New Age” philosophies might alter our current perspective in the coming days. Just remember to remove those rose colored glasses when necessary.
