Wiz Khalifa was surrounded by a handful of Pulp Fiction’s Mia Wallace doppelgängers as he joined Fall Out Boy for a performance of “Uma Thurman.” The track, which is powered by a sample of the theme song from the popular ‘60s television show,“The Munsters,” was one of two performances by Wiz. The Pittsburgh native also drew positive reviews for his hit single “See You Again” with Charlie Puth and Lindsey Stirling.

 

 

While Nicki Minaj generally avoided EDM-flavored singles like “Starships” on The Pinkprint, she and David Guetta kept things upbeat with “The Night Is Still Young” and “Hey Mama.”

 

 

Mariah Carey turned back the clock on 25 years of hits by performing her 1990 hit, “Vision Of Love” as well as her latest single “Infinity.” And while Carey’s recent performances have been plagued by vocal flubs and audio issues, she showcased something much closer to her five-octave range with the quick medley.

 

 

After a breakout season in which “Empire” dominated television ratings, the show’s cast members Jussie Smollet and Bryshere “Yazz The Greatest” Gray joined Estelle for a medley of the songs featured on the hit album featuring music from the show. Smollet and Estelle revisited their chemistry from episode 9 with a duet of the song “Conqueror.” Despite exchanging some blows as onscreen brothers, Gray and Smollet displayed some clear chemistry in real life with a performance of “You’re So Beautiful.” Apparently, Gray has a thing for Taylor Swift.

 

 

Imagine Dragons provided a genre-bending twist in the form of a tribute to the late Soul singer Ben E. King. While Imagine Dragons is generally considered a Rock outfit, they covered King’s most well-known hit, “Stand By Me.” It was an especially timely tribute given King’s passing on April 30, 2015.
