Bishop T.D. Jakes To Deliver Uplifting Message At Whitney Houston's Funeral

(Dallas, TX) — Bishop T.D. Jakes plans to deliver an uplifting message at Whitney Houston’s funeral this weekend. Pastor Jakes says along with trying to comfort the family, he’ll use his allotted time to speak about faith and reflection. Jakes is the senior pastor at the non-denominational Potter’s House megachurch in Dallas. He worked with the pop star on the production of “Sparkle,” a new film in which Houston plays a key role. Bishop Jakes says Saturday’s service in New Jersey points to the fact that, quote, “something significant has been taken out of this life and away from this world.”
