Terrance Allen (pictured), an 11-year-old Brooklyn boy, stabbed his mother’s live-in boyfriend, Timothy (Mohammad) Pender, to stop him from chocking his mother, the New York Daily News reports.

Pender, an ex-con, also assaulted the boy’s cousin, 27-year-old Kenyatta Parker (pictured), during the Saturday night attack. At 11:20 p.m. Pender allegedly beat Allen’s mother, Tracy Anderson, for a half an hour. He started beating Parker when she tried to stop the attack.

Little Terrance felt he had to do something. Fast.

“I had a feeling something was going to happen,” the soft-spoken boy told The News in an exclusive interview as his mom, shaken and fighting back tears, looked on. “I was frightened.”

But, based on what he did next, there seemed to be no fear in this little Brooklyn boy. Here how the rest of the story unfolds, according to The News:

Skinny and baby-faced, but fast-thinking and with nerves of steel, Terrance had raced to the kitchen as Pender was throttling Parker, grabbing what his mother later called a “small steak knife” in his little fingers.

“I didn’t say anything. I just stood there for two or three minutes,” he recalled. “I wanted to see if he would get off her. But he didn’t. He was choking my cousin.

“She was punching him, trying to get him off. That’s when I thought — I had enough.”

There was only one way to stop the savage assault: Terrance approached Pender from behind and stabbed him in the back.

“I did it,” he said matter-of-factly. Then he ran from the room to seek help, descending a dozen flights of stairs from the apartment. “I didn’t look back,” he said. “I just kept on going.”

Terrance said he ran a block north to Marion St. and met a kind stranger, who took him to her apartment, where they called 911.

Cops descended on the scene and arrested Pender, who was charged with second-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal mischief.

He was taken to hospital for his knife wounds that were not life-threatening. With multiple arrests dating back 20 years, Pander is no stranger to the jail system. His rap sheet includes guilty pleas to trespassing, resisting arrest, theft of services and, here’s the kicker, forcible touching.

The boy says that he was shaken up after the incident, so he played video games to calm himself. Prior taking the knife to his mom’s batterer, Allen wanted to be a video game creator. Not anymore.

“I want to be a cop so I can put away people like him,” he says.

Well, this is a happy ending to what could have been a tragic story!  Let’s hope his mother make better choices in men to bring around her son in the future.
