WHITMAN-WALKER HEALTH HIV FORUM TUESDAY, JULY 24

What: Community HIV/AIDS forum presented by Whitman-Walker Health and 54 other community organizations. 

Who:  Councilmember Jim Graham; Jeanne White-Ginder, mother of Ryan White, keynote speaker; Cornelius Baker, Senior Communications Advisor & Project Director, FHI 360, and former Whitman-Walker Executive Director; Regan Hofmann, Editor in Chief, POZ magazine; JoAnne Keatley, Director of the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health at the University of California-San Francisco; Dr. Robert Redfield, Chief of Infectious Diseases & Director of the HIV program, University of Maryland Medical School; Adam Tenner, Executive Director, Metro Teen AIDS; Phill Wilson, President & CEO, Black AIDS Institute; Jose Zuniga, President, International Association of Physicians in HIV/AIDS Care; Don Blanchon, Executive Director, Whitman-Walker Health; Tom Sherwood, NBC4, panel moderator; and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington.

When: Tuesday, July 24, at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm. 

Where: Lisner Auditorium, 730 21st Street, NW.

Why:  Twenty-nine years ago, Whitman-Walker held DC’s first community forum on AIDS at Lisner Auditorium. This year, we return to Lisner in conjunction with the International AIDS Conference to update and inform the community on the current state of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
