Over the weekend, in Alexandria, Virginia, the mother of an 8 month old baby, was charged with felony child neglect.
32 year old, Zoraida Magali Conde Hernandez of Alexandria, was arrested Friday. The arrest came when her 8 month old child was found in the backseat of the car by Hernandez. The child that was in the car died from the heat, as the temperatures hit in the 90’s.
Hernandez intended to drop the baby off at day care while she went to work, but forgot about the young child. After working for six hours, and in route to pick up another child from day care, is when Hernandez found the child. Police are saying that the incident was unintentional.
