The House of Representatives have passed a bill to fund the D.C government.
This bill now goes to the Senate for further approval. “Provide Local Funding for the District of Columbia Act” is to fund District of Columbia through December 15.
In government shutdowns before, the government considered trash removal non-essential. But, D.C. Mayor, Vincent Gray has been actively speaking that all DC government employees are essential in the event of a shutdown.
