“F^!# going platinum, I looked at my wrist and it’s already platinum” – Drake “The Language”
Drake may have stated the line above in his song “The Language”, but I’m sure he is excited about this news. ‘Nothing Was The Same’, the fourth album released by Drake is one of the best albums to have been released this year. He told us to wait, and with the music that was given, the wait was definitely worth the while. Now that the album has been released, so have the numbers, and as always Drake did not disappoint.
‘Nothing Was The Same’ (NWTS) is now a PLATINUM album! It has been a month and a couple of weeks since the album has hit shelves, and already ‘NWTS ‘ has hit the million mark. As I sit here typing and listening to Drake’s “Worst Behaviour” (which is one of my favorites off the album), I am not surprised that Drake’s album produced these numbers.
All but one of Drake’s albums have reached the Platinum status. I remember when Drake first stepped on the scene with the mixtape “So Far Gone”. Many (including myself), couldn’t believe that Degrassi’s “Wheelchair” Jimmy, was now rapping; but now that he is putting up the numbers and is one of thee hottest rappers in the game right now, there is no doubt that Drake is a rapper…and a GOOD one at that!
