BET’s 106 & Park welcomed the First Lady Michelle Obama, for a special  episode focused on higher education. The 106 audience was comprised of local New York City high school and college students. Hosted by co-hosts, Bow Wow, Keshia Chanteand media personality Jeff Johnson, FLOTUS shared her personal story of the crucial role education played in her life.

 

She also talked about the President’s “North Star” Goal which aims to see America return to its position as the country with the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020. Mrs. Obama also shared some funny facts about herself and her family, answering a few general questions about life before politics, President Obama’s vocal chords and more.
