Is Black Friday Shopping On Thanksgiving Day “Team Too Much”?
After sharing a big family dinner and confessing what they are thankful for, millions of Americans will clear their plates, pass up on desert, grab their coats, and head straight to the malls for Black Friday sales. Walmart, Target and Toys “R” Us announced that they would begin their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving night this year. This has caused a big debate as it forces those who would spend time with family to report to their retail jobs, many without the option for time off. Do you think Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving Day is “Team Too Much”? Should stores not force workers to report on a day that’s dedicated to family? Share your thoughts.
