Rumors began to circulate that soul singing belle, Fantasia, was battling suicide after her situationship with cheating (ex-) boyfriend Antwaun Cook, well she shut that down.
Fantasia Barrino is setting the record straight with her fans, telling them she’s not suicidal after the split with her cheating ex-boyfriend ”so stop trying to make me dead,” RadarOnline.com is reporting.
Barrino, 29, and her ex, Antwaun Cook, split nearly a year ago after he went back to his estranged wife, Paula.
News of the split left Barrino heartbroken, sources told Radar, leading to reports that friends feared the former American Idol contestant was entertaining suicidal thoughts.
But Barrino denied the allegations on Thursday in an Instagram photo she captioned: “Lol!!! Who keeps this stuff Going?? It’s becoming a Lil questionable😏 lord lord lord. It’s almost been a Year and this is still going on. Lol!! He and I are not together. I’m not going anywhere so stop trying to make me Dead.. Lmao!!! I’m just getting started👊”
Barrino has a 2-year-old son with Cook that she shares custody with and is currently starring in After Midnight on Broadway.
According to sources close to the situation, Barrino is upset that while her son Dallas is in North Carolina with his father, he’s also spending quality time with Cook’s wife, Paula.
“Antwaun and Paula are really happy being together again, and they already have two sons that Dallas fits in perfectly with and loves being around,” an insider previously told Radar.
“Fantasia and Antwaun have shared custody of Dallas, but he ends up with him a lot since she’s busy on Broadway, which in turn gives Paula a lot of time with him.”
