*UPDATE*

Chris Brown fans around the world caught a few feelings earlier when reports came out that Brown was sentenced to a year in jail after admitting to violating his probation by committing a crime in Washington DC.   Although Brown was credited 234 of the  365 days (for time already served in jail and rehab), he still faces 131 days of jail time, which would mean he wouldn’t be released until after Labor Day.

But Good News is in the air!!!  Sources are reporting that Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos suggests that Brown may be out before next weekend!!!!!

CNN reports:

Brown’s lawyer told CNN that he expects Brown to be released from custody by the county sheriff within the next week.

“I would expect that Chris should be out of jail before the weekend’s up or before Monday,” Geragos said after the hearing. “If he isn’t out by Monday, then I would expect he’s getting special treatment. He’s got over 230 days credit on a 365 (day sentence) and generally the sheriff is releasing on a lot less than that.”

Good news for Breezy fans!!  However, if and when Chris Brown is released he still has to do his “Community Time”

LATimes reports:

The judge said he would reinstate Brown’s probation when he is released, and he will require the defendant to see a psychiatrist twice a week, complete his outstanding community service, take appropriate medication and not use medical marijuana.

CNN reports:

Brown still must complete about 700 hours of community labor at a rate of three days a week once he is released from jail. Geragos, however, said Brown has “enjoyed” the work because it is “at a facility that has allowed to him to kind of expand his horizons.”
