In a video posted on his Facebook page last night Tyrese Gibson, while in the studio with Dr. Dre, confirmed that the Apple deal to purchase Beats By Dre for $3.2 billion is, indeed, going down.
If all goes well, much like they say (many, many times) in the video, Dre will be hiphop’s first billionaire. That beats Puff Daddy, Russell Simmons and, who we thought would be the shoe-in, Jay Z to the chase.

The deal was announced yesterday as a rumor, but hadn’t been confirmed until the video broke wide. Even though the video and several tweets from Tyrese have been deleted, one thing is for sure: We might actually get that Detox album now.
