President Obama Addresses Ray Rice Video “Real Men” Don’t Hit Woman
The entire country is talking about all of the drama surrounding the NFL and Ray Rice’s domestic violence situation. In a statement issued through Press Secretary Josh Earnest, the President said he “believes that domestic violence is contemptible and unacceptable in a civilized society.” For him, “hitting a woman is not something that a real man does, and that’s true whether or not an act of violence happens in the public eye, or, far too often, behind closed doors.” Many agree with the Presidents closing remarks, “Stopping domestic violence is something that’s bigger than football–and all of us have a responsibility to put a stop to it.”
