I heard “Backseat Freestyle” earlier, and wondered when Kendrick Lamar would drop something new; guess I got my answer.
Since disappointment at the Grammy’s earlier this year, it has been a while since ANYTHING about Kendrick Lamar has been said. That all changed when there was a tweet, claiming Kendrick to be releasing new music! The tweet brought excitement to many K Dot fans, being that he put himself high on the Hip Hop totem with his freshmen album ‘good kid, m.A.A.d. city’.
Not only is there talk about a new song, but there was also mentions of a sophomore album. The first single from his sophomore album will be released NEXT TUESDAY, September 23rd. The song is titled “(i) (love myself). With an interesting title, I for one am excited to hear the song!
Of course we are going to give you the new Kendrick when it drops, just keep it locked, on 93.9 WKYS !
