Despite tensions running high between Lil Wayne and Birdman, and by extension, Young Money and Cash Money, YM is still keeping business alive and well, signing a new singer to their roster.
It’s unclear when exactly the deal took place, but Lil Wayne made the announcement earlier this week that he had signed relatively unknown singer Stephanie Acevedo. The announcement came along with a new music video for Stephanie, where she showed off her singing chops (as well as other assets) with a Leona Lewis cover. Although the official announcement was made this past week, Stephanie has been posing with her YMCMB counterparts in photos dating back at least three months ago.
