According to Karen Civil, Weezy was not referring to a deal with Roc Nation. She tweeted:

When Lil Wayne said “I signed a deal with my idol Jay Z”.. He was referring to his new deal with #Tidal.

Last night Lil Wayne announced that he signed a deal with Jay Z, and though we aren’t sure what the deal entails, we’re excited.

While headlining Oakland’s KMEL Summer Jam, Weezy slowed things down a bit for the big announcement. He told the crowd:

I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol, Jay Z.

This union has been a long time coming, as we all know Hov wanted to sign the Young Money rapper back in day but received a cease and desist letter from Birdman after meeting with Lil Wayne.
