Don’t worry, Pusha T fans. King Push is still on the way.

The newly-promoted G.O.O.D. Music President has been prepping his highly-anticipated album for a few years now, and fans can hardly wait to hear it.

It looks like the wait is going to have to be extended for a bit longer, as Pusha revealed that he will be releasing a prelude album next month just before King Push.

He told Noisey of the project, which is titled Darkest Before Dawn, “I’ve been recording so much—I didn’t want to break up that body of work,” the 38-year-old said in reference to King Push. “I feel like I had the producers doing things that they weren’t usually known for, a little out of their wheelhouse. I wanted to give the fans that body of work. That’s the music I love, and that’s the music that my fans love from me. Instead of having those moments throughout King Push, let’s just separate the game.”

King Push isn’t too far away, however, as it’s set to drop Spring of next year, but we can get some new Pusha T on December 18th.

The rest of the interview is set to come out in the near future, where Pusha will go into more important topics surrounding his music.

What are your thoughts on the prelude album?
