After getting a lot of positive feedback for his work on Pusha T‘s Darkest Before Dawn album from last week, the songwriting vocalist just dropped a surprise project for fans.
Full of covers of the legendary Sam Cooke in 8 different tracks, The-Dream released his new mixtape titled IAMSAM, which he revealed was recorded during the making of Beyonce‘s 4 album.
While sharing the news of the tape’s release with his followers, the singer wrong in a post on Instagram, “My Mother loved a lot of Artist growing up, but the one we shared the most interest in together was Sam Cooke, so Tonight I give him back to her. These songs were originally recording during the making of @beyonce ‘s 4 album in 2010 w my good Friend Pat Thrall. My mother passed on the 23rd day of December in 1992.”
