Kendrick Lamar’s “Untitled Unmastered” Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200 Chart

Get Kendrick Lamar on the phoooone, because his untitled unmastered project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The surprise release sold a hefty 178,000 units, 142,000 of which were pure sales. Last week, Kendrick revealed that physical CDs were available and that vinyls can be purchased on May 22.
This is Kendrick’s second No.1 album, his first being last year’s critically acclaimed To Pimp A Butterfly, which gave us thought-provoking cuts and a much-needed powerful performance at this year’s Grammys. This time around, he had some sizeable competition in 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne‘s ColleGrove and Adele’s 25 still selling like crazy.
Not bad for a surprise album, Cornrow Kenny.
