HBO Confirmation

Kerry Washington is set to play Anita Hill in HBO’s Confirmation and is dishing on her talks with Hill and the behind the scenes drama of the political film.

According to reports, the telefilm tells the story of the explosive 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings and Hill’s testimony that brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way people think about sexual harassment, victims’ rights, and modern-day race relations.

“All of [the events that took place in 1991] was part of our conversation — particularly when I was working on portraying her later in the process. We talked a lot about her feelings as it was all unfolding,” Washington said of her conversations with Hill. Washington stars opposite Wendell Pierce (who plays Justice Clarence Thomas) in the film.

Confirmation airs Saturday at 8 p.m. on HBO. Check out Kerry Washington’s behind the scenes scoop about the flick here.

Emilia Clarke wants equality on the set of Game Of Thrones, which means #FreeThePenis.

The actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO series, sat down with Conan to discuss the series’ inequality between male and female nudity – thus the hashtag.

She told Conan, “There’s plenty of female nudity, myself included, and I feel like … I think we should get some equal male nudity and female nudity. Free the penis.”

Speaking of GOT, fans may not be too happy with the final season’s new time length.

According to reports, show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are apparently considering shortened episode runs for the show’s final seasons. The upcoming season six will have the usual 10 episodes, but there is a plan that would see season six followed with just 13 more episodes split between season seven and a concluding season eight.

HBO released a statement, “Any conversations about the end of Game of Thrones and the number of episodes of future seasons is purely speculative. As is customary, HBO will sit with Dan and David to discuss the details once a decision has been made to go forward with season 7.”

Looks like the award-winning show will continue to do things their way, and we’ll continue watching.

Remember the Serial podcast that had everyone going back in time to help solve a 15-year-old murder case? Well, one of the key players from the case, Asia McClain, is writing a book titled Confessions of A Serial Alibi.

McClain was Adnan Syed‘s lone alibi witness in both the first season of Serial and his newly reopened trial. The book promises to tell her story “for the very first time.”

Confessions of a Serial Alibi is out June 7. Will you be reading?
