Rihanna continues to slay the fashion game. She is one of the few celebrities who have decided to dabble in fashion (clothing, collaborations, representations) that have gotten it correct. Rihanna, our modern day King Midas, everything she touches turns to gold.

She’s currently riding a high with a successful partnership with the coveted Manolo Blahnik. Her six-piece denim shoe collection called Denim Desserts. She recently released her third collection with uber funky sock line, Stance. She has even been courted by LVMH Beauty to release her own makeup collection early next year. Let’s not forget about her Creative Director position with Puma in releasing a joint collection with the brand and presenting it at February’s New York Fashion Week. Oh…and she’s on tour, too.

Just when you think that our Bajan beauty could not dabble in any other partnerships and collaborations, she proves us wrong. Rihanna continues her relationship with Dior by designing futuristic sunglasses for the brand. She partnered with the French fashion house last year by starring in one of their videos.

Moving from muse to designer, the 28-year-old artist designed these glasses with Star Trek Geordi La Forge in mind. She explained, “I’ve always been obsessed with his eyewear, and when I got to Dior and saw all the materials I could play with, it all just came together.”

The singer designed one frame that will be sold exclusively at Dior stores. The frame will come in six colors: blue, green, red, pink, and silver, retailing for $840.00, plus a 24-karat gold plated edition for $1950.00.

Dior CEO, Sidney Toledano is quite pleased with the partnership, stating,

“We are very pleased to partner for the second time with Rihanna. She is an artist, an entertainer, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist and a style icon for today’s generation.”

The sunglasses will launch in June 2016.
