5001 FLAVORS is the New York City brand that the biggest celebrities wear, but you might not have heard of unless you are in the Manhattan streets. The brand was loved by New York’s very own, Notorious B.I.G. often clothed on covers of XXL and editorials in their custom made designs.

You might not know 5001 FLAVORS, but you know their work. They are a custom made apparel company that has clothed the entertainment industry since 1990. In addition to Notorious B.I.G., high-profile clients include Jay Z, Lebron James, Shaquille O’Neal, Aretha Franklin and more whom the company makes butter soft leather pants, high-octane fur jackets, sleek business suits and more stylish garments. Ensuring the Bad Boy Family has looked fresh for years, it’s no surprise they are heavily involved with the wardrobe for the Bad Boy Reunion Tour.

Yes, all those classic covers are 90s stars wearing custom tailored garments by Guy Wood. No surprise that the Bad Boy Reunion Tour has you feeling like you are kicking it in Brooklyn…stylishly.

“We do this neoprene one with tartan plaid print. Fabolous has it. I even do one in white wool. I source my leathers all locally, in the fashion district and certain tanneries, but I can’t give away all my secrets.”

Guy Wood has a background in tailoring. His mother was a seamstress and by watching her work, he picked up the craft.  The fashion tailoring and design business definitely runs in the family. His son, Guy Jr., created Billionaire New York. The proud father states, “He’s the bling. I might do a regular tuxedo jacket, but he’ll take it to another level. He’s Vegas. I might be Atlantic City.”

In 2012, Guy Wood, with family and friends, opened Harlem Haberdashery, at 245 Lenox Avenue in Harlem, New York City. The store offers everything from unique style to the blinged out statement wear created by Guy Jr.

Talk about keeping it in the family!
