Judge Rules Derrick Rose Accuser Must Reveal Her Identity

Derrick Rose‘s accuser must revel her identity as the civil case moves forward. U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald ruled that she must disclose her real name when the case goes to trial.

Typically, the law allows the victim of a sex crime to remain anonymous to protect their privacy rights. But Rose’s legal team filed docs alleging that Jane Doe abused her privilege by having interviews and a new conference.

We worry that this ruling sets a dangerous precedent for victims of sex crimes.
