After repeatedly maintaining that they would not release the dashcam video of Keith Lamont Scott’s shooting, after much pressure the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department finally did so on Saturday. This comes one day after Scott’s widow released her own video of her husband being shot and killed by local police and days of political unrest and protests in the city.
However, as CNN points out, the video does little to answer the questions that the public has about the specifics of the shooting. As HELLO BEAUTIFUL previously reported, Scott’s family has maintained that the disabled father, never had a gun and was instead reading a book in his car when he was shot and killed on September 20.
