One of President-elect Donald Trump’s main promises on the campaign trail was that he was going to build a wall around the US-Mexico border and that Mexico was going to pay for it. Ironically, Trump is now asking our Congress—AKA tax payers— to provide funds for the “Great Wall” and bill Mexico for it later.
Huh?
Well businessman and former Mexican president Vicente Fox Quesada wasn’t having any of that and clapped all the way back on Twitter on Friday.
This isn’t the first time that Fox has spoken out about the wall, The Hill noted.
Earlier this week Fox tweeted: “Trump may ask whoever he wants, but still neither myself nor Mexico are going to pay for his racist monument” and “Another promise he can’t keep.”
Let’s just sit and watch how this wall plays out.
