Broadcast personality Deja Perez, has worked in a variety of positions. Initially, she started as a part timer in the research department. She went on to work as a board operator, then became part of the promotions department, and finally hit the airwaves as an on-air personality! Eventually taking a position with celebrated Radio One hip-hop giant, 100.3 The Beat. Before landing at DC based 93.9 WKYS.
During her tenure in Philly, the popular radio star was embraced by the city, particularly because of her strong commitment to eradicating domestic violence and working with juveniles. Diligent about her desire to help at risk youths, Ms. Perez obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University.
Her mercurial rise can be attributed to her dedication to excellence, combined with vibrant talent and a passionate drive to achieve. With a Latina mother and an African American father, this New Jersey native, celebrates her cultural diversity and believes that her family background has enabled her to relate to all people! Throughout her time at WKYS, Deja’s talents extend to doing voiceovers for local and national corporations including Ford Motor Company, Coca Cola, Macy’s and Shoppers Food Warehouse for all stations in the Radio-One cluster. Deja has found her true passion, the highly rated daily entertainment report “What’s Poppin!” filled with celebrity gossip, scandals and the latest news. She also hosts her self titled #1 night show “Deja After Dark”, responsible for the “Goodnight Kiss-mix”, the first on-air slow jam mix. Extending her talents, Deja has made several appearances on the nationally syndicated “Russ Parr Morning Show”, providing both local and entertainment news. In addition, she uses her vast entertainment knowledge for the Internet show featuring Grammy nominated singer Raheem DeVaughn.

Dominique Da Diva began her radio career in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia as an intern with WBTJ-106.5 The BEAT. A proud alumni of Virginia State University and lovely lady of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. Dominique was offered the on air weekend time slot upon graduating with a B.A in Mass Communications in 2010. It wasn’t long before the aspiring media mogul was running the #1 slot during Middays on WOWI-103 JAMZ in Norfolk, VA. In 2016, Dominique took her talents to Los Angeles to host ‘Diva Unfiltered’ on Dash Radio and explore the digital tech world with the launch of her very own App, ‘Da Daily Dirt’ available in the Apple Store!
Full of personality and comedic one liners, Dominique continues to exemplify what Beyonce’ means when she says, ‘a diva is a female version of a hustler.’ She’s graced stages alongside prominent celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba, Jordin Sparks & Michelle Obama, as the official host for FNV Live. You can hear her voice in the afternoons from 3pm-7pm on 93.9 WKYS in Washington, DC “It must be Angie on the miiiic!” Also known as “Your Royal Hypeness,” Angie Ange is a proud Howard University Alum (class of 2006, magna cum laude, John H. Johnson School of Communications) and the founder of College Is Cool Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization exposing youth to the college experience.
Angie Ange’s road to radio began when she was a sophomore at High Point High School in Beltsville, MD. It was there that she got involved with the school television station and hosted daily morning announcements. Angie later transferred to Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, MD, where she got heavily involved in hosting school events and later graduated in 2002. It was at Seton, that Angie realized that the radio industry was for her.
As an aspiring radio personality, Angie Ange went from Program Director at Howard University’s student station WHBC 830AM, to bottom level intern at a top radio station in the area, where she worked her way up to broadcasting the overnight shift and producing other shows until she was offered her own primetime show in the evenings, 6pm-10pm, at 93.9 WKYS just shy of her 23rd birthday. Angie dominated the night show timeslot, holding down the number one spot in the evenings for seven years before being promoted to the afternoon drive on WKYS in August 2014.
Angie Ange has won several awards throughout her career and was most recently recognized as one of the top thirty radio personalities in the country by The Source Magazine. Angie’s motto is “as you move forward…give back,” and she certainly is setting the example in the DC metropolitan area with her various philanthropic efforts, and commitment to her community. You can catch Ange all over the DC metropolitan area: from rockin’ the mic on the club scene, to schools, to community events, concerts, or just hanging around town. At the young age of 24, Jordan “Shorty da Prince” Johnson is definitely not a stranger to the Entertainment world. From music and radio to television, he hass hown that he can hold his own. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Shorty started a career in radio when he was only 12 years old with his own radio show Saturday mornings from 10AM to Noon. “I was only supposed to be on the air for a month…but I didn’t find that out until about 2 years into doing the show,” said Shorty. When he turned 16, Clear Channel hired him as a full time night jock from 6 to 10PM on the city’s “100.3, The Beat” radio station. Shorty grew up on St. Louis radio going to public high school during the day and being the city’s number 1 radio jock by night. In 2010, Shorty landed a radio gig in Detroit, MI on “Hot 107.5” (Formerly “Hot 102.7”) and from there caught the attention of BET.
BET reached out to Shorty to put together a tape because they were in search of new correspondents. “I just came into work about to do my shift and checked my email…the subject said BET and basically they had been following me and
wanted me to put together a video and send it back to them,” Shorty explained.
After about a year of just doing spot appearances on BET, from hosting the
Grammy red carpet to doing BET’s Notarized Countdown, he was selected as
one of the hosts for their flagship show, “106 and Park”.
