YES! It’s that serious! At least that’s what many of the sneaker heads seem to believe of the Foamposite One Galaxy shoe release. Last night was a wild night for the Florida Mall, there were so many anxious customers waiting for their chance to purchase the $220 sneakers. Police officers on foot and police officers on horse back, were called onto the scene to shut it down after things got out of control. That led to this statement by the House Of Hoops All Star Weekend Release:
Update 2/24, 10:45am EST: Due to safety concerns, the Foot Locker House of Hoops stores in South Park Mall and Crabtree Valley Mall are canceling the All-Star releases this weekend (product list below). Our priority is the safety of the community. Thank you for your understanding. The following Foot Locker House of Hoops stores have also canceled the All-Star releases: Florida Mall, Pembroke Mall, University Mall in Tampa, Southlake Mall and PG Plaza. Please check back for additional updates.
Apparently the DMV thought this was a joke, because people still lined up praying for their chance at scoring a pair of the Foamposite One Galaxy shoe at PG Plaza Mall. I hope and pray that when it is time to vote, apply for school, or stand up for your rights in your community that all of you take the extra mile. Voting is free, standing up for your rights are free and while pursuing your education may not be completely free, it is something that will benefit you for the rest of your life. We have got to do better.
