Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go music, passed away last year, May 16th. Although Brown is no longer with us, his music and legacy live on forever.
Mayor Vincent Gray has approved a Chuck Brown Memorial, for Washington, D.C. The design for the memorial will be revealed today. Along with revealing the design of the Chuck Brown Memorial, he will also sign the legislation to approve it.
The Chuck Brown Memorial will be designed by the same company who renovated the historic Howard Theater.
