MTV announced today that the 2013 Video Music Awards will take place in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.
MTV made their announcement using a series of photos to reveal where the VMAs would be. Los Angeles hosted the event for the past two years. This is the first time it has been in New York since 2009 when it was held at the Radio City Music Hall.
The awards show will go down August 25, 2013. I’m definitely expecting an epic performance from Jay-Z just because it will be in the arena he helped make possible.
