The planet Pluto is bigger than we think (astrologically speaking), despite it being relatively small when compared to the physical sizes of the other main celestial bodies transiting the sky above. While astronomers have attempted to downgrade Pluto’s status as a member of our Solar System, astrologers refuse to deny the significance of this planet, and so should you. Pluto’s function in traditional Astrology is to promote personal and societal transformation through change and evolution. Pluto rules the sign of Scorpio and so, in line with the qualities of Scorpio, is concerned with the investigation of all things hidden, secret and toxic, for the sake of release and rebirth. Pluto is currently moving through the sign of Capricorn, setting in motion the weeding out and breaking down of certain systems and structures in place that prevent our advancement. On Friday, April 12th, Pluto will turn retrograde through September, signaling both a global and internal review of how our progress and growth is being blocked. The weeks and months ahead will most certainly see the beginning of a “reassessment” of things. Hopefully whatever is revealed leads to a soul deep cleansing and renewal.
